The Observer Food Monthly just published their list of the 50 best cookbooks of all time. Lizzie B Design is proud to have designed three of those 50 ! The Complete Robuchon (13), The Four Seasons Cookery Book (22) and The Greens Cookbook (32). Definitely a reason for a glass of champagne (or two).

Success at the World Cook Book Awards!

The Complete Robuchon won the Best Cookbook Translation at the Gourmand World Cook Book Awards in Paris in July. It is said that Robuchon prefers now the English edition rather than the French original, a well deserved award for Anne Dolamore and Grub Street. The World of Fine Wine won the Best Wine Magazine in the World Award, as Hugh Johnson says, "the first cultural journal of the wine world". Congratulations to publisher Sara Morley and editor Neil Beckett, another well deserved award.

The incredible photography of Elsbeth Juda (known as Jay) is to be exhibited for the first time at L'Equipment des Arts. Lizzie Ballantyne worked with the team there to create the brand and 52 page 'magazine' catalogue to accompany the exhibition. Elsbeths' work for The Ambassador Magazine encapsulates every facet of a re-emerging Post-War Britian, pushing the boundaries of fashion and advertising photography and also captured some of the era's most distinguished personalities. Elsbeth generously donated her archives to the Victoria & Albert Museum and National Portrait Gallery. This is an exhibition not to be missed; 16th April - 8th May, 19 New Quebec Street London W1H 7RY.

Narrated by David Attenborough, the six episodes capture the Earth's most dramatic and epic wildlife spectacles and the intimate stories of the animals caught up in them. lizzie b design had the absolute pleasure of designing the 320 page book to accompany the series. The book follows the structure of the series, and also provides an eyewitness experience of the events from the people who filmed it. The photography and stories are awe-inspiring...

L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon has just been awarded it's second Michelin star, taking it's owner and chef (the legendary) Joël Robuchon to a total of 25 stars -- the most one chef has ever received. lizzie b design, designed The Complete Robuchon, published by Grub Street last year, a brilliant and huge book with over 800 recipes. It covers all the bases, with recipes ranging from the perfect fried egg to our favourite, venison stew. No kitchen should be without!

Telling the story of Eric Ravilious's finest works, High Street, this limited edition publication reproduces the original High Street text and images, along with two fascinating articles by Dr Alan Powers and James Russell. There is an incredible wealth of imagery in the book, including a collection of Soviet children's books from Russia and four fabulous lithographs by Lucien Boucher produced in 1925.

Lizzie Ballantyne had the great pleasure of working with Fortnum's to design this gorgeous book full of their favourite memories. Did you know for example, they were the first place in the UK to stock Heinz baked beanz! And Howard Carter's Tutankhamun expedition used Fortnum's wine boxes to help catalogue the rare antiques.
